Repairs...

I started to repair my radiator. Once i got it off, i didn't find any crack anywhere?? I located the problem into the return connection "pipe". It was bended and deformed, leak was coming from between the hose and connection. Lower attachment of the radiator took some damage also and that was completely broken. In my opinion this attachment is mistake from the factory, it is quite vulnerable since it´s connected to oil tank. Any hit on skid plate can brake it quite easily.
I need to think different option for better attachment...
However i installed new silicon hoses for the whole cooling system, also changed cooling fan´s thermostat for lower temperature RC8 version. That switches on the fan´s sooner.


Aloitin jäähdyttimen korjailun, kun sain sen irti en löytänytkään halkeamaa?!? Vuoto johtuikin paluu puolen letkun kiinnityksen vääntymisestä, se oli mennyt melko soikeeksi ja sieltähän se vuodon syy löytyikin. Jäähdyttimen alakiinnike oli kokonaan mennyt poikki, tämä on mielestäni melkoinen tehtaan suunnitteluvirhe alkujaankin, se kiinnittyy öljytankkiin suoraan ja pienikin isku pohjapanssariin voi aiheuttaa tämänlaista vahinkoa. Täytyy miettiä parempia kiinnitys vaihtoehtoja...Sain kuitenkin vaihdettua uudet silikoni letkut järjestelmään ja tuulettimien termostaatin vaihdoin RC8 malliseen, se kytkee tuulettimet aikaisemmin päälle.

C'est fini...

Ok, morning i was ok to continue and everything started well, after a 8-9 km we took really muddy and slipery uphill. Temperature rised suddenly on the bike and all cooling liquide was gone...yesterdays accident made probably more damage on the radiator than i though, i decided not to burn the whole engine and i finished the whole rally. C'est la vie!! I'm disappointed...

Ok, aamulla oli hyvä fiilis jatkaa ja kaikki menikin hienosti, 8-9 km kohdalla aloitettiin tosi jyrkkä ja liukas nousu, pyörän lämmöt pomppasi tappiin ja tajusin että kaikki jäähdytysnesteet on pihalla, eilinen kaatuminen teki kuitenkin enemmän vahinkoa kuin luulin, jää nähtäväksi...

Päätin lopettaa ennenkuin koko moottori palaa pohjaan joten tämä ralli oli tässä...

Pettynyt fiilis mutta pakko oli tehdä näin...

Stony uphill HELL!!!

Second day started with the briefing at 07.00, roadbook had 240 km marked. I was feeling ok and felt good to take the route. After first really steep uphill i noticed that my front tire was burst, so that was it for me...i went back to the starting village and searched for the garage. I got little help from there, since they had only car and quad tires...with help of my " team mates from Alsace" (we've been riding together since yesterday) we managed to fix the tire.

We took tarmac road for the lunch break point and after eating we continued the rally.

Just after 20km of stony and muddy uphill's, i made a mistake and fell...

Bike's radiator took the hit and leaked all the fluid's on my boot which was trapped under the bike, managed to free myself and turned downhill, i was sure that it is finished for me. I took everything off from the bike to see were the leak was and realized that it was just a cooler hose which came off because of the hit, quick fix and back to the "race"!!

Next four hours i saw so much uphill's and stone's and mud that i never want to see those again! It was pure hell!!

No water( i used all for the radiator), nothing to eat for energy, i was really exhausted, i mean really!! Finally i got to the end! Not my day! I need to think if i continue tomorrow or not, meteo promises rain and if the route is like that tomorrow also, i cannot survive..

Aamu alkoi hyvissä fiiliksissä, roadbook kertoi että matkaa on 240km. Briiffi oli kello 07.00. Matka alkoi hienosti, ensimmäisen tosi jyrkän ja kivisen mäen jälkeen huomasin että etukumi on puhki. Siihen loppui mun hyvä aamu, takaisin startti kylään etsimään korjaamoa. 

Sieltä sain vähän apua, lähinnä sympatiaa mutta eilen tapaamien Alsacen kaverien kanssa saimme kuin saimme renkaan korjattua. Päätimme ottaa autotien lounas pisteelle ja jatkaa siitä syömisen jälkeen.

Iltapäivä oli yhtä mäkeä, helvetin teräviä ja isoja kiviä ja mutaa..puolessa välissä tein virheen ja kaaduin, jalka jäi pyörän alle jumiin ja kaikki jäähdytysnesteet valui suoraan saappaalle. Olin varma että jäähdytin on vähintään halki ja peli on pelattu...

Takaisin mäkeä alas ja tien laitaan purkamaan melkein koko etupää että näkis missä vuoto on, onneksi vain jäähyttimelle tuleva letku oli irti joten nopea korjaus ja takaisin reitille!

Siitä alkoi mun helvetti, mäkiä (lue vuoria)

Kiviä ja mutaa. Ei vettä juotavaksi koska kaikki meni jäãhdyttimeen eikä edes syötävää. Neljä tuntia puhdasta tuskaa..

Selvisin kuitenkin lopulta vaikka en enää pysynyt edes roadbookin mukana, tuurilla

löydettiin loppuun asti.. 

Olen ihan loppu fyysisesti, huomenna mietin uudestaan jatkanko enää, meteo on luvannu sadetta, siinä tapauksessa en ehkä voi selvitä huomisesta, jos reitti on siis samanlainen kuin tänään niin ei toivoa! Jompikumpi hajoaa mies tai pyörä...sori kirjoitus virheet, olen vaan niin puhki ettei pää toimi...
